Ms Saunders has has a breadth of experience and knowledge working in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She is trained in a wide variety of therapeutic modalities, but likes to use CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and Psychoanalysis. She specializes in trauma work, various addictions, and relational problems. She brings more than 10 years of clinical experience and periodically teaches as an adjunct professor in psychology. She believes that each client is unique and utilizes the necessary therapeutic model each one. Her goal is to assist clients become empowered and gain insight about themselves and their relationships. She motivates them to build on their strengths to move to a place of hope. She presents them with tools to help them manage their emotional and environmental challenges by removing any hindrances which would prevent them from living up to their full potential.
Ms. Saunders is a single-parent of 5 children and has survived, with God’s help, to obtain her degrees while raising them. She is able to empathize with her clients emotional and physical struggles. She helps clients become survivors rather than stay as victims of their past. She was born in Siberia, Russia, immigrating to the United States at the age of 5 and remains fluent in her native language.
